Some years ago, women made The Rules their Bible.  It was a guidebook on how to manipulate men into marriage.  Men felt duped, confused, and used—and the con game set male-female relationships back.  Today men are still perplexed about how to relate to women, and women are similarly perplexed when it comes to dealing with men.

 

Finally, will both genders please decide what they want?  In her song, “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?,” Paula Cole laments, “Where is my John Wayne?, Where is my happy ending?, Where have all the cowboys gone?” Most women fantasize having an Alpha dude—for protection, shelter, and guidance.  But there’s a drawback.  In their attempt to provide the virility they think women want, tough guys have shelved their sensitivity—and have lost part of what it means to be alive.

Women Who Have Never Achieved an Orgasm – But Want To – How to Give a Woman Orgasms

When asked by the folks at WUVING to contribute an article on the Female Orgasm, I found myself thinking of the women I have counselled who have never experienced an orgasm.

It’s often a surprise when a woman in her forties or fifties, finely dressed and good looking, will say, “I’m not sure what an orgasm is. I don’t think I’ve ever had one.”

These women have often been married for years — or have dated on a fairly regular bases. Some of the cases may involve painful intercourse — dyspareunia in medical terminology. The causes of dyspareunia can often be cured. Or the couple can switch to oral sex and mutual masturbation (although many husbands are unwilling to do this).

Sex surveys from the 50′s established that 60% of women cannot achieve an orgasm just through sexual intercourse alone. More recent surveys have arrived at 50% and as low as 40%. The immediate “cure” for this is an understanding partner — often, as with dyspareunia, involving gentle carressing, kissing, manual touching and oral sex.
